Well that was fun!!! Illinois Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Conservation Police stopped by class today. Lieutenant Eric Rollins and Conservation Police Officers (aka Game Wardens) Colt Gerdes and Jacob Hopper spoke to the class about their jobs. The Illinois Department of Conservation Office of Law Enforcement supports the Department's programs designed to protect Illinois' natural and recreational resources. Conservation Police Officers are vested with full state-wide police authority and are trained to the highest standards for law enforcement professionals in Illinois. And if you’re not interested in law enforcement, DNR has just about any career field you can think of!

Eric, Colt, and Jacob also gave the students some excellent advice when they talked to them about leaving their options open and finding their purpose.

In a former life, Eric taught junior high and it was obvious the way he interacted and engaged the students. I think Eric enjoyed being back in the classroom and the students certainly enjoyed it too. Thank you so much to Eric, Colt, Jacob, and Eli for their time. We appreciate it!
