A day at Greene Fields Farm is ALW🎃YS a great day!
The class visited Greene Fields Farm today between Greenfield and Carrollton. Owners Christie and Regan Joehl spoke about how they got started in the pumpkin business. The Joehls aren’t just interested in the business side of things, they also want to educate customers on agricultural practices. They stressed it is a working farm and people are invited to the experience not just a retail business. Christie and Regan also told the students how they plant their crop and the desire to keep it a family business. They said the ability to run this business and be home to raise their children is what it’s all about.
They talked about the benefits of going into specialty crops, how they track their sales, and their new ventures. Christie and Regan also gave the students some great advice about life.
Thank you to the Joehls (and their crew... Nathan, Caleb, Jeremiah, Ryan, Jackson, and Mary) for the tour, their time, and the apple cider donuts!
